Median and Percentile Calculations

Averages are misleading. If one user streams 10,000 tracks per month and nine users stream 10, the average is 1,009, a number that describes nobody. The median (10) tells a much more honest story. Percentiles go further: the 90th percentile shows where the heavy users begin, the 25th percentile shows where the light users sit.
